the best gift

dear Lord,

even though we're one of those affected in the flash foods in Iligan City due to the typhoon Sendong, i still feel so blessed. because You've given us the best gift we could ever receive, and that is a chance at life. i feel fortunate because You've given me and my mom a way for us to get out of our house, which was flooded up to the ceiling, and get to the roof. and even though we've stayed on the roof for 7 hours from 1am up to 7am and suffered hunger pangs and the cold, i am grateful. i believe it was a miracle that we were able to get an opening in the roof from just pounding it with a plastic stool. thank You so much dear Lord. for giving me yet another chance. now i am starting to see clearly that material things are not important. what's important is that one has a strong, rock hard faith in You. because only You can save us. maybe we don't see You, but we see Your work every where.

thank You so much for giving the baby inside my tummy a chance to be able to see the world. he will be a survivor and he will have strong faith in You.

thank You so much Lord, because even though it is hard to be able to get up from this, You are giving us strength to go on. thank You so much for the people, who even though they were also greatly affected by the flood they were still helping us. thank You to all those people who are sacrificing their time, efforts, and money to be able to help.

even though now we are facing a crisis and we are trying to get through this, i know with Your help we will be able to make it through and we'll have even stronger faith in you.
